Rituals and Rites of Passage

Cultures have marked significant events in the lives of the people from earliest times through Rites of Passage. Rituals and ceremonies give physical form to interior changes in human life. Ritual making is powerful, and is used to mark life passages.

Some examples include

• marriage ceremonies
• divorce blessings
• baby namings
• puberty celebrations
• memorial services for lost loved ones, including animal companions
• blessings of homes and workplaces.

We collaborate with clients to create exactly what they want to express. The ceremony may be done solo or with friends and family present. Whatever a client wishes to acknowledge as an important event can be addressed.

At this house blessing, participants are purified through "smudging" with sage (left) before the Spirits of the Four Directions are called in to be present during the ceremony (right). After the blessing, the gathered guests revel in a circle dance.
